This presentation helps the intermediate DB2 application developer or DBA to quickly diagnose and fix problems. The agenda focuses on problems that are the easiest to fix and provide the greatest return on time investment.

After this presentation, the attendee will:

• Know what symptoms to look for: What questions do I ask the “DB2 patient”?
• Be able to diagnose the problem:   How sick is the DB2 patient?
• Be able to establish cures for the patient including good health practices as they relate to CPU and buffer pools.
• Take advantage of the new prescriptions including unpadded indexes and multi-row fetch.
